Following consultations in the Zhytomyr region in the framework of the “Cardiac care to the orphanage” experts NAICVS Sciences of Ukraine jointly with the National Centre of Telemedicine MH of Ukraine examined children of Cherkassy orphanage.

November 16, 38 young patients had a unique opportunity to consult the country's best specialists in the field of pediatric cardiac surgery and, if necessary, and medical care in Amosov Institute.

Throughout the more than 2 hours highly qualified and very caring doctor of ultrasound diagnosis Vitkovska Natalya and cardiac surgeon Klimenko Artem examined all children. As a result, three children were selected for on-line consultation by specialists of NAICVS. The consultation was held headed the department of congenital heart defects in newborns and infants Amosov Institute, PhD Yaroslav Truba and higher category cardiologist, Honoured Doctor of Ukraine, Candidate of Medical Sciences Maia Dyrda.

Two young patients and their parents were invited to attend the examination in Amosov Institute, and one child - the dynamic observation during six months.

Journalists who were present in Cherkassy, primarily interested in the possibility of holding such consultations by specialists, and other areas, not just cardio. Head Physician of telemedicine, Vitaly Ostashko assured that now you can get advice not only for specialists Amosov Institute but also children’s cancer hospital, and in the future, any other area specialists.

As a result, notice, that this project is important not only from a medical point of view, as the possibility of early diagnosis of various pathologies of the heart in children and, subsequently, successful treatment, but also this project is important socially. After all, children are our future.
